Ingredients:
3/4 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Flour
1/2 tsp. Ground Nutmeg
1/4 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
Pinch of Salt
6 Cups Thinly Sliced Apples (Approximately 6 apples)
(If frozen pie crust, prepare according to directions on package)
Preparation:
Preheat over to 425°. Mix sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt into bowl. Stir in apples. Pour into pie pan. Top with crumb topping:
Mix 1 cup firm butter. Add 1/2 Cup compressed brown sugar and mix until crumbly. Notes: Cover Pie with aluminum foil for final 10 minutes of baking. Bake 425° - 50 minutes.
